Bothered Sports Blogger

I'm not an "angry" person, no matter what you've heard. I'm just intense, and keep it real to the point where fake folks and those who live their lives pretending to feel one way but thinking another can't even recognize it. But this isn't about me, I just wanted to get that out there...

The following things must change in sports, because they are making me mad...

1. The Washington Redskins must change their name.

2. Daniel Snyder, please sell the Washington Redskins, or get someone competent and proven to run it and get the hell out of the way.

Who the fuck is Vinny Cerrato and why is he trusted to run the team? Give me ONE good reason

3. No more college football polls until after week 4.

Those who actually have to turn a ballot in can keep a piece of scrap paper for reference, but don't go around printing and influencing other's opinions for no good reason

4. Illegal Contact Downfield needs to be removed as an NFL penalty.

Its either pass interference or its NOT.

5. Fantasy football should be regulated like a drug.

6. Dana White, I appreciate the good MMA, but can you please stop waffling in press conferences? If you can't 100% ensure that the person you say is going to get a title shot 15 minutes after an impressive knockout will actually get it due to contracts or other issues, just wait and say something not so damn definitive. You were gonna reverse the Thales Leites firing. Dan Henderson was going to get the next crack at Anderson Silva. Rampage was going to die for standing you up to shoot the A-Team movie (jokes!), etc etc. I'm not THAT pressed that you really change because if you did you'd have to give us NFL-coach-speak, which is bland and uninformative, but you're getting people excited for no good reason (other than blog fodder) far too often.

7. Media speculation on people getting fired... BEFORE THE GAMES HAVE BEEN PLAYED/

There's some chicken-and-egg to speculating which coach is going to get fired. These people have families (and buyout clauses too...) and if someone went around writing BEFORE the season that a certain columnist was going to get fired in 4 weeks if they don't produce some excellent columns there'd be 28 days of crossfire. But NFL, NBA and pretty much any major sport's coaches don't have time to properly address the "haters".

My point is, speculating who is going to get fired once their team picks up some really bad losses is one thing. Pre-season "hot seat" talk is bullshit and an exercise in random speculation and futility.

That's all for now... I'm sure I'll add to the list later!
